As of today, April 28, we are moving into Level 3.

What a stunning day! The sun is out, and all our construction sites are open again – Yahoo!

The NZCEL team continues working remotely from their 15 home offices across Wellington region from Seatoun, Kilbirnie, Te Aro, Kelburn, Wadestown, Ngaio, Tawa, Porirua, Pukerua Bay, Silverstream, Eastbourne and Waikanae.

PCB are starting up the strengthening site at Courtenay Place, consisting of five buildings.
The Victoria Street apartment site has started up. Its’ Aoraki crane is swinging again, waiting to grow another three floors.

At level 3 major work sites are allowed to start up again, as are plumbers, electricians and builders, provided they keep 2 metres distance between themselves and occupants at home.

In the construction industry, strict hygiene measures must be put in place and everyone entering the site must be registered to assist with potential contact tracing.

Tools and equipment also need to be cleaned before and after every day, and workers must sit 2 metres apart on their lunch breaks.

All the sites follow the CHASNZ Covid19 Construction Protocols. NZCEL staff is fully aware of the health requirements and supports the fight against Covid19.
